A
n energetic, passionate individual, Alice White first trained at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, before graduating with a BA honours degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design.
A dedicated figurative painter, she has exhibited extensively in London, as well as showing her work alongside other graduates in the Villa Arson Centre National des Arts Plastiques, in Nice, France. Selections of her works are in a collection with the Link Gallery in Denver, Colorado U.S.A. Her creative hub remains in London, the city of her birth.
Alice Whites first solo exhibition entitled "Whites Sugar" held in Carnaby Street London in December 2006 lead to a review in the Arts, Books and Culture section of The Independent newspaper. Her recent exhibition of portrait paintings at the Rivington Gallery in East London was well received and she continues to seek out new opportunities and inspiration for her artwork, proliferating her paintings with a regularity and intensity very much akin to her character.
Expressive, vital, passionate and attentive to detail, Alice utilises the process of painting to decipher the animal form. The canvas serves as a focal point, as intriguing and mysterious as the animal itself, and touches on the central force of every individuals life including our own - that epicentre which remains hidden, potent, expectant.
